Hello!

Welcome to my little corner of the web. Everyone's doing it - It's terribly modern. This is my contribution to the cyber clutter.

So what's it all about? Well, me really (by "me" I mean Nic Watson). It's basically a sort of poorly maintained online CV and general indulgence. The main indulgence being the somewhat cryptic web address. There's an explanation of sorts about that on the Contact page.

I'm a theatre technician and have been loitering around the industry for nearly 10 years now. I have been Technical Manager of the Canal Café Theatre, Cockpit Theatre and Sound Theatre and am currenty Technical Director of the National Student Drama Festival.

I am a regular at the Royal Academy of Music crewing on their operas and mentoring technical students on their summer musicals, I co-ordinate and host the Cockpit's new-writing night Theatre In The Pound, and am helping develop a new technical aprenticship scheme.

I have been involved with scores of shows at the Edinburgh Festival over the last 8 years and figure that I have teched around 650 performances during that time.

I am also a freelance souNd and lIghting designer.

I have started too many of these sentences with the word "I".
